Guadalupe Receives Full Funding for Courtyard Roof Repairs

Guadalupe Regional Middle School is celebrating a significant milestone as it has successfully secured full funding of about $10,000 from the Catholic Human Services Foundation for an important safety project. The grant will be allocated towards essential roof repairs for the school's metal courtyard roof, a vital space that serves as a hub for various school activities.

Over the past several years, the school has faced challenges with the metal courtyard roof, which has begun to show signs of rusting through at the seams. This deterioration has led to leaks during inclement weather, posing concerns for the safety and well-being of students and staff. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the school sought external support to address the structural issues and ensure a conducive learning environment.

The courtyard at Guadalupe Regional Middle School holds a central role in the daily activities of the students. It serves as the designated drop-off and gathering point in the mornings, provides a space for recess, and is the location where students are dismissed after school. Additionally, the courtyard is utilized for physical education classes, sports practices, and special events, making it an integral part of the school's infrastructure.

The funding from the Catholic Human Services Foundation will enable the school to immediately undertake much-needed repairs to the metal courtyard roof. This investment is expected to not only address the existing issues of rust and leaks but also enhance the overall safety and functionality of the space for many years to come. Students, teachers, and staff can look forward to an improved environment that supports various educational and extracurricular activities.

The successful acquisition of the $10,000 grant highlights the collaborative efforts between Guadalupe Regional Middle School, our Board of Directors, and the Catholic Human Services Foundation. This partnership underscores the commitment to the well-being of the students and the importance of maintaining a safer learning environment.
