Our House System
The GRMS House System is rooted in the charisms of our sponsoring congregations and provides an opportunity for students and faculty to interact across grade levels. In doing so, the school community benefits from positive peer pressure, increased school spirit, and healthy competition. Our House System enhances our mission by developing student leaders, providing mentorship, and strengthening relationships between students and faculty.
As 6th graders, students are sorted amongst three Houses. Students remain in these Houses until they graduate from GRMS. Throughout the year, these three Houses compete against each other for points which are awarded through academics, competitions, service, leadership, and community involvement. Through success in teamwork, students have potential to earn their House various rewards. Houses meet once a week on Wednesdays during Activities Period, encouraging the formation of interpersonal relationships and camaraderie among students across grade levels.
