Spotlight on Catholic Schools:Annual Walkathon

13 mar 2024

Guadalupe Regional Middle School proudly took to the streets of Brownsville for the Annual Diocesan Walkathon, organized by the Diocesan Catholic Schools Office. This event, held on Friday, March 8th, is a powerful demonstration of our commitment to our mission of knowing, loving, and serving God.

Students, teachers, staff, and GRMS families joined together as a united front, walking from GRMS to the Cathedral downtown, spreading a message of hope and solidarity. The event not only raised awareness of our school but also showcased the spirit of Catholic schools embedded in our communities.

As we walked, our voices rang out loud and proud, embodying the values of GRMS and the Diocese of Brownsville.

It was a day filled with camaraderie, joy, and a shared sense of purpose. The walk took us to the Cathedral, where our walkers were able to sit, rest, take in the beauty of the historic church, then pray together as one.

We are immensely proud of everyone who participated in the Walkathon. Your enthusiasm and support are a testament to the strength of our school community. Together, we continue to shine brightly as we enrich our neighborhood and fulfill our mission and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Special thanks to Father Joel, Father Genaro and the Brownsville Police Department
