We Rocked Catholic Schools Week
In this special edition newsletter, we are thrilled to recount how our school not only embraced the spirit of Catholic Schools Week but elevated it to unprecedented heights. Beyond the traditional dress-up days (although, we did those, too), Guadalupe Regional Middle School set the bar higher this year with a series of extraordinary activities.
Sunday: Private Mass with the Chaplain of the University of Notre Dame's
Football Team

We had an incredible blessing last Sunday, as a few of our staff members got to experience a special, intimate Mass with none other than Father Nate Willis, CSC!
If Father Nate looks familiar, it might be because he’s the Chaplain of the University of Notre Dame football team. In addition, he is the Director of Blended Learning Initiatives at the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program, and a professor for the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program within ACE.
Fun fact, he was also the priest-in-residence of Mr. Anderson’s (pictured second from left) dorm in college at Notre Dame. Yup! He presided over weekly masses and hung out with the residents, creating lasting memories and forming deep connections. In fact, we thank Mr. Anderson for making this connection for our school.
Despite his busy schedule of preaching, teaching, and mentoring students and athletes, Father Nate had intended to preside over Mass for GRMS. He graciously took time out of his packed agenda to support our students and mission. Unfortunately, his flight was canceled and rescheduled, and he couldn’t make it in time. However, we are hopeful for a future visit.
We want to thank Fr. Nate for inviting Ms. Rose, Mr. Anderson, and Mr. Averill to Mass, and we pray for his continuous efforts to inspire and guide educators and students in their faith journey.
Monday: Priest Lunch & Learn Session

On Monday, we welcomed a distinguished group of priests, along with Parish Religious Education Directors and the Superintendent of Catholic Schools to our campus for our first Lunch and Learn session!
They got an exclusive look at what makes Guadalupe Regional Middle School unique and heard all about the fantastic opportunities awaiting future students.
We’re thrilled to share the news about the numerous scholarships available for Brownsville families who are interested in enrolling their children in our school next year.
It was an insightful and inspiring gathering, and we can’t wait to continue spreading the word about the exceptional education and community at Guadalupe Regional Middle School.

We are immensely grateful for the beautiful Mass held on Wednesday with Father Brian, SJ, as part of Catholic Schools Week. The occasion served as a poignant reminder of the unique essence of a Catholic education.
Beyond the rigorous academics, it is a transformative journey that instills values shaping us into compassionate and responsible individuals. The Mass eloquently encapsulated the core teachings of our faith, emphasizing the significance of what it is to be a good person.
Catholic education goes beyond textbooks, teaching us not just how to think, but how to live. It fosters a sense of community, moral responsibility, and a deep understanding of what it truly means to be good. We are blessed to be part of an educational experience that prioritizes the development of both the mind and the soul, laying the foundation for a life filled with purpose and meaning
